Day 14 of the Learn Spanish Challenge! Watch the video!

“Tough times never last, but tough people always do.” -Anonymous

Learn Spanish Challenge, Day 14
Greetings Section 2, Unit 3

Tune Your Ear
Quiz

Are you new to the Learn Spanish Challenge? Go to Day 1.

Congratulations for making it to Day 14. You should be proud of the progress you have made thus far. There is a mental toughness required in achieving your goals and success. If you can stay mentally tough and dedicated to the Learn Spanish Challenge, then you will progress faster in Spanish than you thought you could.

Today Dave will guide you through the Greetings section Unit 3 and you’ll do the Tune Your Ear and Quiz lessons. You will learn a few new words in the Tune Your Ear section and you will be quizzed on what you have learned in the Greetings section. As Dave has mentioned numerous times thus far, repetition and review are key components to language learning. We do our best to keep it interesting so you’ll stay interested and motivated.

I want to build a community of people here on the blog and on Facebook who are going through the Learn Spanish Challenge as well. If you are studying this everyday, then I would love to hear how it’s going for you. I would love to post your thoughts on the blog. If you are interested in providing a few sentences about each day, then email me at jake(at)spanishprograms.com and I’ll give you more information. Please put “Interested in Guest Blogging” in the email subject line. Since there are new people beginning the Learn Spanish Challenge each day, your thoughts and feelings will be helpful to them.

These videos are being posted on the blog under the category “Learn Spanish Challenge”. You can also watch the videos on our YouTube channel, and I post them daily on Facebook and Twitter as well.

It won’t be easy at first, but your mental toughness will get you through it.

“Life doesn’t have a remote, get up and change it yourself.” -Anonymous

Learn Spanish Challenge, Day 13
Greetings Section 2, Unit 2

Listen and Don’t Repeat
Review Game
Pronunciation Classroom
Bowling

Are you new to the Learn Spanish Challenge? Go to Day 1.

You are on Day 13. You should be proud of the progress you have made thus far. You have taken the initiative to learn Spanish and make it part of your daily habits. As Dave mentions in the video, the more Spanish you learn and listen to, the more natural it will be and sound to you. Think about learning a new phrase or word in English; at first it may not sound right, but after you hear it a few times it will sound normal.

Today Dave will guide you through the rest of the Greetings section Unit 2. We want to get you speaking to anyone and everyone in Spanish. The greetings section will help you get over the first mountain so you will know what to say to begin conversations. This is an important step in being able to comfortably converse with someone in Spanish.

Day 12 of the Learn Spanish Challenge! Watch the video!

“If you don’t know where you are going, any road will get you there.” -Lewis Carrol

Learn Spanish Challenge, Day 12
Greetings Section 2, Unit 1:

Review Game (Lingo Dingo)
Pronunciation Classroom
Bowling

Unit 2
Listen and Repeat
Memory Machine

Are you just beginning the Learn Spanish Challenge? Go to Day 1.

We began the Learn Spanish Challenge so that you know where you are going after you initially set your goal to learn Spanish. Since it is not possible for all of you to live in a Spanish-speaking country and be completely immersed in the language and culture, we have provided a way for you to learn from wherever you are without having to live in a foreign country. The Learn Spanish Challenge is your guide to Spanish fluency.

Today’s video is pretty short as Dave explains the lessons which you need to complete today. You are in the greetings section and will be learning how to greet people, obviously. Remember to repeat aloud as much as you can and envision yourself actually talking to people.

On a different note, I am looking for guest bloggers who will post a few sentences or a paragraph about what they’ve learned and how they feel after each day of the Learn Spanish Challenge. Email me at jake(at)spanishprograms.com and I’ll give you more information. Please put “Interested in Guest Blogging” in the email subject line. Since there are new people beginning the Learn Spanish Challenge each day, your thoughts and feelings will be helpful to them.

Are you new to the Learn Spanish Challenge? Go to Day 1.

I admit that early on in your journey to learn Spanish it can be easy to become frustrated. You might feel like black coal, and the thought of becoming a diamond seems to be an eternity away. I have had those feelings when it felt like I couldn’t say the words I wanted to say. I kept working at it and I’m still not perfect, but a diamond doesn’t seem so far away anymore.

As Dave explained in the video, today’s Spanish lessons are the beginning of Greetings Section 2. We want to get you speaking to anyone and everyone in Spanish. The greetings section will help you get over the first mountain so you will know what to say to begin conversations. This is where the fun begins. You will actually be able to begin conversations in Spanish. It’s okay to be excited.

I want to build a community of people here on the blog and on Facebook who are going through the Learn Spanish Challenge as well. If you are studying this everyday, then I would love to hear how it’s going for you. I would love to post your thoughts on the blog. Day 10 of the Learn Spanish Challenge! Watch the video!

“Confidence comes not from always being right, but from not fearing to be wrong.” -Peter T. Mcintyre

Learn Spanish Challenge, Day 10
Basic Needs Section 1, Unit 7 Additional Practice:

Vocab Review
Vocab Review
Capital Defense
Visual Link Talker

Are you just beginning the Learn Spanish Challenge? Go to Day 1.

Although your Spanish knowledge may not be extremely high at this point, it is important that you be confident in your Spanish knowledge. I love this quote because I learned this the hard way as I was learning Spanish. When I was nervous and afraid of making a mistake, I would stutter and stumble a lot. When I spoke with confidence I did much better. I certainly made mistakes and learned from them, but I spoke with clarity and confidence. Don’t be so afraid of making a mistake in Spanish that you avoid success.

As Dave explained in the video, today’s Spanish lessons are a review of what you have previously learned. This is the final unit of the Basic Needs Section 1. There is a reason that “Additional Practice” was put into the course. We want to put what you learn into your long-term memory. We want you to remember what you’ve learned. Repetition leads to retention.

Learn Spanish Challenge, Day 9
Basic Needs Section 1, Unit 6:

Tune Your Ear
Quiz

Unit 7
Click N Hear
Vocab Review

Are you just beginning the Learn Spanish Challenge? Go to Day 1.

I love today’s quote because I believe that education enriches your life. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a formal education, it can be whatever you’d like to learn. In this case, obviously, you are learning Spanish. Learning this beautiful language and working at it everyday can enrich your life and give you more of a sense of accomplishment.

Today’s video lasts about 10 minutes because Dave explains some new activities in the Spanish lessons which you haven’t explored yet. The Visual Link Spanish uses a variety of review games and methods to keep you learning and keep it interesting and fun. If learning is fun, then you are much more likely to stay motivated without being bored.

On a different note, I am looking for guest bloggers who will post a few sentences or a paragraph about what they’ve learned and how they feel after each day of the Learn Spanish Challenge. Advanced Game

Are you just beginning the Learn Spanish Challenge? Go to Day 1.

When it comes to achieving your goals, there is a time for talk and a time for action. It’s time to do a little less talking about your goal, and a little more action toward achieving your goal. I wouldn’t tell you not to talk, because I want you to be speaking in Spanish as much as possible. I hope you read today’s quote and you get the idea.

As Dave explained in the video, today’s Spanish lessons are going to take a little bit longer than normal. If you don’t have enough time to get through all of them, then you can do more tomorrow. We will not be posting new videos on Saturdays and Sundays. (We like to enjoy our weekends as much as you do.) You can use those 2 days to catch up if you have fallen behind. So, for every 5 days that you go through the Learn Spanish Challenge, there will be 2 days to catch up or take a break.

On a different note, I am looking for guest bloggers who will post a few sentences or a paragraph about what they’ve learned and how they feel after each day of the Learn Spanish Challenge. Basic Needs Section 1, Unit 4:

Virtual Instructor
Listen and Don’t Repeat

I love this quote because it is very applicable to goal setting and success. Success begins in your mind. Dave mentioned Mindbloom again. Did you sign up? Do you think it will help you achieve your goals and live a more balanced and quality life? I would love to hear your comments and questions about it.

Today’s video is a little bit longer than normal because Dave explains some new games and activities which you haven’t been through yet in the Learn Spanish Challenge. We want to make sure that you can focus on learning Spanish and not be lost at any moment.

On a related note, I am looking for guest bloggers who will post a few sentences or a paragraph about what they’ve learned and how they feel after each day of the Learn Spanish Challenge. Basic Needs Section 1, Unit 3

When you practice your Spanish, you will make mistakes. It’s important to realize that early in your journey. The important thing is that you get back up, laugh about it, learn from it, and keep moving forward. You can do it!

Dave mentioned mindbloom.com as a tip to help you accomplish your goals. You might think it’s a little bit cheesy, but I highly recommend it. I use it everyday as a task list to help me accomplish my goals. It helps me to see which areas of life need some more attention. I think it’s a great idea. It’s also great to take a few moments out of each day to be inspired by quotes and images with music.

On a related note, I am looking for guest bloggers who will post a few sentences or a paragraph about what they’ve learned and how they feel after each day of the Learn Spanish Challenge.
