Congratulations for making it to Day 42 of the Learn Spanish Challenge! Because you have made it this far, I am going to assume that learning Spanish is important to you. You haven taken action and hopefully you’ve practiced with someone. By doing this, you risk making grammatical errors, and you will probably make a few. However, the reward far outweighs the risk. Put yourself out there.

In today’s video, Dave guides you through the end of Unit 1 and to the beginning of Unit 2 of the Locations Section. He also gives you a short review of Spanish cognates and teaches you a few more.

I congratulate you for making it to Day 41 of the Learn Spanish Challenge. Today’s quote is very relevant to learning Spanish. In the past, you may have given up on learning Spanish or another goal because of frustration or some other feeling, but you may have blamed it on work. Don’t allow those feelings to get in the way of work and personal achievement.

Today, Dave teaches you a few more Spanish cognates and guides you through the beginning of the Locations section. Obviously you will be learning to talk about where things are and everything else related to location.

In the past 40 days and 40 nights of the Learn Spanish Challenge, you have taken learning Spanish to new personal heights. You should be proud of what you have been through. Today, Dave teaches you a few more Spanish cognates and guides you through the end of the Additional Practice unit. Because today’s lesson is a little bit shorter than normal, Dave also invites you to review any of the previous sections you have worked on.

¡Qué chevere! (How awesome!) You made it to Day 39! A common reason that people give up is because they don’t see nor find joy in progression. They want to achieve that ultimate goal, but it seems like it will require too much pain, sacrifice and time to get there. Celebrating doesn’t necessarily mean having some big, lavish celebration for every little thing you do. Take a moment and smile. Go ahead and pat yourself on the back. Be proud of yourself.

Today, Dave teaches you a few more Spanish cognates and guides you through the beginning of the Additional Practice Unit of the Communication section. This will reinforce what you’ve learned in the entire section.

Are you new to the Learn Spanish Challenge? Go to Day 1.

¡Qué chevere! (How awesome!) You made it to Day 38! If it seems like you are going really slow and it’s taking you forever to learn Spanish, then remember this quote. It just might make you smile too. Even though it is a bit more applicable to physical fitness, it’s still applicable to learning Spanish. Remember that it takes time to become fluent. Anybody who tells you they became fluent in a couple of days is either a genius or a fraud.

Today, Dave guides you through the Review/Quiz unit of the Communication section. He also teaches you a few more Spanish cognates and talks about his poncho he’s wearing.

Are you new to the Learn Spanish Challenge? Go to Day 1.

¡Qué chevere! (How awesome!) You made it to Day 37! I like today’s quote because it reminds me that I can be my own best friend and my own worst enemy. Give yourself the opportunity to succeed. Encourage yourself and have a positive attitude. When you don’t have a positive attitude and you start making excuses for yourself, you’ll quickly learn how easy it is to make excuses and stop progressing.

Today Dave will guide you through more of the Communication section. You will be focusing on the entire unit 5, which will teach you ‘who, what, where and why’ questions. Dave reminds you of yesterday’s learning tip, which was to visit a library to learn Spanish cognates.

Are you new to the Learn Spanish Challenge? Go to Day 1.

¡Qué chevere! (How awesome!) You made it to Day 36! To me, today’s quote teaches us do do things even when others don’t think we are capable. Let’s go out on a limb, become fluent in Spanish and prove them wrong. You can do it! – It’s all about the amount of time and practice you put in. The more you practice, the better you’ll get. Sure…you’ll hit plateaus, however, there’s a thrill that comes from being on a plateau for while, then taking off and soaring to the next level.

Today Dave will guide you through more of the Communication section. You will be focusing on the entire unit 4. Today’s tip challenges you to check out a book from the library and find as many cognates as you can in the book. Cognates are words that looks similar in Spanish and English and have the same meaning. More on cognates will come the next few days in the blog posts.

Way to go! You made it to Day 35! Today’s quote is about working hard and doing something. Don’t ever give up and do nothing. Even when it gets difficult, and it seems like you’re not learning as much as you think you should be – keep going! We’re behind you all the way!

Today I will guide you through more of the Communication section. You will be focusing on the rest of unit 3. Today’s tip challenges you to listen to the Spanish radio again. It’s important to do this so you can develop essential comprehension skills. You can do this in your car, at home or on the internet.
